OUTLINE BY SUZANNE SIEBERT, is about a breakup, how people “disappear” cos they’re gone now. So, I realized that a shadow DISAPPEARS when the sun shine goes away too. So, that’s how this song was written initially. Once I got into the arrangement and vocal structure, it took a while to get it all right! I think this song took about 3 months before it was ready, so here you are!!

I was trying to make a post, but can’t get it right, still Navigating here!!
This is the story behind the song -

Recently, I released STANDING, BY SUZANNE SIEBERT.
Sure, I have other songs, this one was different. It was to recognize the years of diagnosis, surgeries, hospital stays, pain that was unbearable, and despite it I’m still STANDING.

With severe endometriosis at 19, numerous ruptured cysts it was an ongoing series of scans, surgery, and over and over.
The impact by the disease and surgeries meant that my womb was so damaged it was the size of a 2 yr old at 27, I couldn’t have children.
Then other issues came up. By 34 I’d had 11 surgeries.
Finally, with a devastating diagnosis as if the previous ones weren’t enough, I had to get an immediate hysterectomy. It happened in 3 days.
In a way I was free, in a way I lost everything.

STANDING, is a song to “all of that”, to be an anthem of IM STILL STANDING. A testament of endurance and strength I didn’t know I had.

Music is my creations, my little joys, my ability to focus on something bigger than me, that hopefully gives others a bit of joy.
