Darkwave is my experimental solo project — a journey rooted in old-school metal riffing, yet constantly reaching beyond boundaries. While progressive and thrash metal form its backbone, my music is shaped by a wide spectrum of influences: from power, doom, and symphonic metal to classical, folk, electronic, and even jazz. This fusion isn’t calculated, but rather emerges naturally, as instinct and intention collide.
Since the release of my debut full-length album Hexapla in 2021, Darkwave has evolved from a small personal outlet into my primary means of artistic expression. Hexapla and its reimagined version (The Remasters, 2022) laid the foundation, blending the intricate language of thrash with diverse stylistic threads and gaining surprising recognition on SoundCloud and Bandcamp. My second album, Missa Innominata (2022), carried this vision further — uniting the monumental weight of classical liturgy with the intensity of instrumental metal. It resonated with even more listeners, with tracks climbing into the RepostExchange Top 40 across genres.
But it was with Thanatology (2023) that Darkwave truly reached a new level. A deeply personal meditation on mortality, it became my most acclaimed release, earning praise from independent reviewers and a feature in Metal Has No Borders’ “Album of the Month” list, later securing a spot in their Readers’ Metal Album of the Year rankings. For the first time, my music was released in physical format — 100 limited-edition CDs, tangible proof of something created in a digital age.
In 2024, I devoted myself to rebuilding — remixing, remastering, and sometimes completely reworking my early releases, while collaborating with inspiring artists from across the globe. These experiences reshaped my vision and gave birth to a bold new chapter: for the first time, Darkwave will feature vocals and lyrics.
This next chapter unfolds with Horror Sacri, my upcoming album, arrived on August 21, 2025. A dark and introspective journey, it explores spiritual collapse, personal reckoning, and the fragile search for meaning. Drawing from sacred texts, progressive metal, and orchestral elements, each song echoes the silence that follows prayer — and the quiet defiance of those who still choose to hope.
