Hi Guys, I’m helping my partner release his dance track…any advice on ways to get it out there and into playlists etc.

A great place to get it out there is by using Musosoup. Basically, you upload your music, a bit about the song or yourself and some links to the music. Then people who are interested will add you to playlists or offer to write a post about you.

There is a small fee, not sure exactly how much, but you get that back if nobody sends you an offer. They may do it for free, or they may ask for a small fee to cover their expenses. Importantly though, NEVER pay anyone to add you to a playlist!

I would also look up Music Supervisors on IG and Threads and even LinkedIn. Reach out and ask permission to submit. You definitely have to get creative. TikTok has some resources too.

Another great resource, if you are looking for a particular musical talent, is kompoz.com
It’s how my band collaborate. Basically, you upload a track (could be music, lyrics, vocals etc) and advertise what help you need. So for example, you may need a bass player or an engineer and if people like it, they’ll join you.
Membership on Kompoz is free but has paid levels of membership (if you want to use better quality than mp3 tracks, or if you want to create more than so many songs.

It’s worth a look, if you’re stuck for that bagpipe player that will take your song to the next level
