Funding should we think of crowdfunding with all indie artists on it ? Yes , crowdfunding is a way to pay the costs what else do you think will help ? If it were up to you completely

Not music per se, but I don’t get any money for doing my radio show and still have to buy tracks. It’s fantastic when bands/artists/PR people send me albums, but that doesn’t cover every show or all of a single show.

What I’d like is for people to buy my merch [T’s at the moment] and I’m open to people saying; ‘I like that design but could I have it on a v-neck or apron or whatever’.

In this day and age, indies have to stand united. This is the only way I see to make it against the big coalition of record labels. If each of us would fund each other with a minimum of say $2.00, that would go a long way in getting everyone’s music heard.

I think I have everything I need to create the music and videos. My shortcoming is in promotion. I really need to hire that out in order to be effective. The biggest issue is - who do you trust? How do you find a cost-effective solution that will actually work for you and not just be another rip off? Ideally, finding a promoter who can promote for you on YouTube, Instagram, Spotify and global radio stations would be perfect. Almost impossible to find, and even when you find someone you think will work for you, it seems like you’re still doing a ton of the work yourself. So, then you’re right back where you started - putting more time into promotion than creation only now you’re also paying more too.

Brian Keefe hello brian I wish I could also open up a YouTube channel and somehow find ways to share the video to those channels .
And yes I agreed , many rip off indie artists and deliver not much .
Although they promised, I could make once I a while your video song pinned ? On top ? Then share it ?

Brian Keefe Brian, you are dead on! It is easy to get ripped off and end up doing the same workload or more. I have been in the music business for over 50 years and work harder now than I did in my 20s & 30s. It’s hard just to be an artist today.
