As I reach the 1 year mark of being an independent music artist, I am proud to celebrate SOMEONE By Suzanne Siebert, and in collaboration with JD, @FromTheAshes as this song was in the final development phase.
JD has an incredible tone in his voice, and his story echoes through the guitar. I was really moved by a song JD is working on, and generously shared the story of the song. Things like that always deserve credit. When it's not only truth and emotion that you feel as you hear a song, but something even deeper, you acknowledge it for the artist. Thank you JD, and let's see where everything takes you on your music journey!
Someone is a song about all the SOMEONE's who we don't really need to be giving our time and attention to. It's a comment on social media, and the vacuous comments and words, that leave you wondering what is really being said, by SOMEONE. Someone always has something to say, and always has another thing to say to your face! So, here we go with recognising who matters in your world is YOU, you are the priority…
I felt a need to share this in a song, mainly because being any kind of artist in todays world, requires us to be on social media, perhaps more than we would like to be. As I developed each song, I want it to have a message or a reason for existing. To be relevant to the listener and for them to have their stories, or topics they care deeply about, communicated in a validating way that is uplifting, regardless of how hard or bad the experience or topic is.
I must also thank @BrokenStarMusic. As listening to their music influenced me to make my music be more - making it about the listener. Stories and SOCIAL MUSIC, comments on what is happening socially, worldwide, nationally, online and especially then it's personal.
UNITED, recently released by Broken Star Music has the energy and vibrant sound of pop rock tones and regenerates interest in this genre; which is very relevant for audiences who enjoy the earthy sounds of rock, and the lyrics of todays world.
