A new release,
AGO BY SUZANNE SIEBERT A song years in the making.
Anya, my twin sister who passed away from cancer, didnβt have anyone from my motherβs family, including our mother, attend funeral.
Anya asked me to kick her godmother out if she dared turn up. Fortunately, I didnβt have to.
This song came out due to very personal circumstances, so foreign and confusing that I had to release it from myself, from Anya, and to finally say, βYou were never there.β
My aunt walked right past memepure chance, with no sorry, no goodbye, and clearly not interested in either Anya or I. Itβs finally given me the courage and closure to commit to getting this song released.
It took so long because I wasnβt really ready to accept that they werenβt family anymore from the maternal side of my family, to me anymore, either.
