Sonokinesis love CANT STOP ME!!
CONGRATULATIONS on the combination of tracks, its really great to have shared a few, because like youβve said, its a collection of the personal experiences and things youβve moved through yourself.
The gift of sharingyour music, especially because its created with your own emotions, energy, focus, concepts, memories, experiences and a place of what could be called the βMEβ bit of us (*personality or and spirit makes it so unique, for all artists.)
Just like to say, incredible!! Im quickly having a listen before work and wanted to share this with you -
makes MUSIC an incredible experience.
I nanny a 5 yr old Jordy, and I always have played music to him since he was 12 months old - not kids music, real music.
Initially it was to help settle him for sleep, or in the background as we played or ate, or went for a walk withthe pram. Music was and still is a part of Jordys world because I wanted him to experience how he couldrespond to it (for example we had βsleeping musicβ which if he hears those songs today, says βSuzie, Iβm not sleepy nowβ!! I remember it would be like Blowing in the Wind or something like that!)
I began making playlists Jordy3,Jordy 4, Jordy 5, Jordy picnic, (for having lunch outside, and Smooth Criminal is his favourite song in that list because he was really into stories about Criminals and going to jail!!! Every list is all made from what we hear and I keep adding to it, each playlist is from the age he was.
We talk about the music. Jordy talks about the music, even βPatrick and Babyβ is what we called I had the time of my life" from Dirty Dancing, because I tell him the story Of the song.
We personalised what we called each song. Elton makes Jordy want to dress up! Gaga he wants to dance, he feels something.
Last week he loved Pet Shop Boys ALWAYS ON MY MIND, we were listening to pop!
When he was 2 weβd been listening to Queen for that week, (*different music each week) and when the family was in the car, Bohemian Rhapsody came on the radio. His parents heard Jordy say from his little car seat in the back, really loud. βQUEENβ they turned around to Jordy, laughing about how he knew it was Queen! I remember later, when he was around 4, he wanted a moustache like Freddie - so I got out my eye-liner and made us both have moustaches that day, you can imagine my uber driver when I went home, moustache still on and all!!
Iβm working today and canβt wait to share it, because his comprehension of sound, mood, is always growing.
Today, is your day for Jordy! So thank you, for having a few tracks here to play today - I know you have much more, but today, itβs new music for me to hear from you too. So, itβll be a 1st for us with these new songs.
Ta for sharing your journey, and your creation! On
#chatsong, you have such a wide response and you never know how your music will be shared beyond us. Today, youβre giving a 5 year old an introduction to the π beats!
