Maurice van Dijk (1994) is a singer, songwriter and musician. A deep voice with an unexpected vocal range always surprises Maurice! For example, he receives vocal coaching from Robin van Beek. When you think of legendary Dutch artists such as BLØF, Racoon or DI-RECT and you take the down to earth of Acda and the Munnik, you could certainly place Maurice van Dijk in between.
After small bands, performances, songwriting with Duncan Laurence and Jan Tekstra, he now opts for a solo career where he immediately starts well with his debut single ‘de kracht’. It tells of a black period where he was assisted by someone who went through the fire for him. This song, written by Maurice van Dijk and Ralph Van Manen, is an emotional journey through loss, loneliness and ultimately liberation. The song tells of clinging to the past, being blind to the future, and the lonely fight to step out of the shadows.
