@reverendgenes is a huge Midnight Oil fan and lucky to have seen them live a few times. Diesel And Dust (the Beds Are Burning album) is great. If you have not heard 10, 9 ,8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 or Red Sails In The Sunset or Head Injuries or Place Without A Postcard or Species Deceases (EP) then IMHO these are Midnight Oil’s finest works. A tour de force of truly unique Aussie pub sounds. Nothing really sounds like this and probably never will again. The duelling guitars are reminiscent of Washington’s finest Fugazi. Sometimes noise-like, always powerful.
