Luis Guerrero (also known as LuisG on streaming platforms) is a singer song-writer based in Las Cruces, NM, where he lives with his wife, his 2 cats and dog. His music sounds like a combination of pop, emo, folk, rock with a mix of coffee shop acoustic with a Southern California beach vibe.
He started his musical journey doing 90s covers mostly at local open mics in the area. In 2020, he joined Twitch and began performing regularly from home in the midst of a global pandemic. Twitch has been a very important part of his journey, he has grown a community and shared his original music and has participated in the Twitch Collective, an incubator program from Twitch Music Executives and Amazon Music directly.
In January 2022, he released his first single called “Waves”, followed up by a second single called “What I’ve Learned”. Both singles were followed up by an EP called “Somewhere to Call Home”, released in November 2022. In 2023, he released the single “California Dreaming (with you)”, which as he states, “is the start of a new chapter in my music journey”. His story is not over, there is still so much to tell.
Luis writes songs from his own experiences growing up and learning to accept yourself, inspired by the music of Dashboard Confessional, Yellowcard, Sum41, Avril Lavigne, Coldplay and Andrew McMahon, Taylor Swift and many others.
