βHi everyone, @Indie artists
βTo keep our community a safe, clean, and fun place for real musicians, DJs, and music lovers, we want to share a quick security update regarding a new type of spam wave going around.
βRecently, weβve noticed a rise in automated bot accounts registering on music platforms and forums. These profiles often look real at first glance, but they are completely automated.
βHow to spot them (The Red Flags):
βAI-Generated Bios & Photos: They often claim to be βprofessional producers, singers, or songwritersβ with 7+ years of experience, using generic or overly dramatic descriptions.
ββToo Good To Be Trueβ AI Music: If you check their SoundCloud links, their profile is usually packed with random AI-generated music. The vocals often sound βtoo perfectβ or clinical, with no real social media footprint (like videos of them actually performing or working in a studio).
βInstant DM Spam: The moment you welcome them or send a message, their script automatically triggers a generic reply, usually followed by a link: βThank you so much. Iβm thrilled to be here. I have a SoundCloud account. Here you go.β
βOur Community Rules to Stay Safe:
βDonβt click suspicious links: If a new member immediately slides into your DMs dropping links without a normal, human conversation, do not click them.
βNever pay for βPromoβ scams: These bots often try to lure independent artists into paying for playlist placements or βorganic growth.β Itβs a scam that can get your own SoundCloud account banned for fake plays.
βReport them: If you receive a strange, robotic DM or notice a profile that feels βoff,β please report it or tag the @Chatsongcrew immediately.
βWe love welcoming new talent to the Chatsong family, and this measure is strictly to protect our real creators from digital noise and scams.
βThank you for helping us keep the crew safe! π§
βBest,
The Chatsong Crew
