We’ve turned off random usernames so when you sign up for Chatsong, you get to choose your own name. Whether it’s your artist name, band name, or something personal, this is your chance to make it yours.
📝 What You’ll Choose During Sign-Up:
- Username → your login name and profile link
- ✅ Only letters, numbers, and dashes (-) are allowed
- ❌ No spaces, emojis, or special characters
- Must be unique — if it’s taken, try a variation
- Nickname → your visible name in posts and comments
- Optional, unless you want it to be different from your username
💬 Example:
- Username: IndieVoice-23
- Nickname: Indie Voice (or anything you like)
Your name is part of your sound. Choose something that feels true to you raw, poetic, rebellious, or just real. Chatsong is built for honest voices, not perfect formats.
