Whether you’re an established artist or just starting out, The Noisy Brain offers a unique creative opportunity:
collaborate directly with real lived experiences.
Here are ways artists typically get involved (choose freely — no pressure, no expectations):
1. Adopt a contributed writing & create a song
Browse the Contributed Writings section in the app, or request a curated booklet of submissions.
Use the writing word-for-word, reinterpret it, or use it as inspiration — full creative freedom.
Some artists collaborate directly with the original writer.
Others work alone and surprise them with a completed demo.
There’s no “right way.”
Just authentic connection and creativity.

2. Share songwriting tips with the community
Many of our community contributors have never created before.
A short video clip or written article tips from you can help their confidence grow.
Some great examples already live in the Artist Section of the app — and your guidance can help even more stories evolve into potential adoptable lyrics.

3. Contribute your own story
Artists often share how writing, creativity, or music supports their mental health.
Your post may help someone understand themselves a little better — or feel less alone and vulnerable.
We are a community helping each other to help each other.

The Noisy Brain was founded by Stu Mills, shaped directly from his mental health experiences and years of battling with internal noise, identity, burnout, and neurodiversity. He created a place where people could finally share openly — without judgement, without pressure, and without needing to “be okay.”
Today, that idea has grown into a global community of collaborative writers, supporters, and musicians who are transforming real mental-health stories into powerful songs.
